Faced with textures that change color, the viewer becomes an active participant in the creation of the artwork’s meaning.
Llordi’s paintings claim a non-static identity and reflect the performative nature of aesthetic experience. The viewer is not a mere observer but participates in the construction of the artwork’s meaning.
Guido Llordi, born in Buenos Aires in 1979, has been dedicated to art from a very young age. His work explores the tension between chance and control of materials, choosing abstraction as his expressive medium and textures as his distinctive hallmark.
He has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in renowned venues in Buenos Aires, including the Centro Cultural Borges, Puig Art Gallery, The Bunker, Puerto Madero, and has participated for the fifth consecutive year in BADA, the Art Fair at La Rural. In 2023, he was part of the PAC project for curators at Gachi Prieto Gallery.
Currently, his works are exhibited permanently at the Llordi Gallery, located just steps from the Obelisk, in the heart of Buenos Aires.
"I am inspired by nature’s formula for creating landscapes. I like to capture a moment abstractly on the canvas, through textures."
